How to Play

Learn the DailyGeo loop before you start guessing.

DailyGeo is a daily location-guessing game built around one fixed image, unlimited guesses, and feedback that helps you narrow in without leaking the answer.

Back to game

1. Observe

Inspect one fixed location with touch, mouse, and keyboard pan/zoom controls.

2. Iterate

Unlimited guesses stay intentional because each submission returns similarity and distance feedback.

3. Finish

The hint ladder helps you converge without turning the solve into direct coordinate triangulation.

Modes

Country, city, and landmark each ask for a different level of precision.

Most accessible

Country

Read scripts, road markings, terrain, and driving side before the first guess.

Open country mode

Default daily challenge

City

Narrow from national context down to the right municipality using density and climate.

Open city mode

Hard mode

Landmark

Recognize iconic structures and places without answer leaks in the client.

Open landmark mode

Scoring

Distance bands turn each guess into a signal.

★★★★★ <50km · ★★★★ <150km · ★★★ <500km · ★★ <1500km · ★ >1500km

Trust

Built to preserve the solve.

DailyGeo keeps spoiler risk low by withholding exact coordinates before solve and by keeping answer data out of obvious client surfaces.

FAQ

The rules stay simple. The deduction does not.

How many puzzles are live each day?

Three. DailyGeo publishes one country, one city, and one landmark puzzle every day so the answer type is always clear before you guess.

What feedback do I get after a wrong guess?

Each valid guess returns a Similarity score and a Distance score, then the hint ladder opens gradually as guess count increases.

Can I play without paying?

Yes. The current daily trio stays free. Subscriptions remove ads, unlock the full archive, and loosen streak-rescue limits.

Does the game reveal exact coordinates before I solve?

No. The live puzzle view never exposes latitude or longitude before solve, and answer metadata is kept out of filenames, alt text, and client bundles.

Disclosures

Product funding and player protections stay explicit.

Privacy

Gameplay tracking stays focused on product analytics like puzzle loads, guesses, hint unlocks, solves, consent changes, and share actions. The full privacy policy lives on its own public page.

Ads disclosure

Free players may see sponsor messages and can choose to watch a video for an extra hint. Subscribers play without ads, and the ad-disclosure page explains consent and sponsorship labeling.

Today's trio is free to play. Archive depth and ad suppression live on the subscriber tier.
