In Namibia, many roads use single yellow outer lines and white centre lines.

On the C49 in the panhandle, pavement may be fairly poor quality, with only white road lines, no road lines, or faded road lines with red-tinted pavement. Near the western end, the sun can appear very low in a fully clear sky.

The C44 is a wide unpaved sandy road lined with trees. A general east-southeast angle and westbound driving direction are noted as identifying features.

On the D3600 and the road northeast to Mpungu, the pavement is very light-colored and sometimes grainy, with very faded yellow lines that can be hard to see. A road angle that runs either exactly north–south or northeast, together with the northern landscape, makes this road stand out.

Coastal sandy landscape with occasional sand dunes can be found around and north of Swakopmund. Smaller pockets also appear around Luderitz and Oranjemund further south.

Otavi sits between several mountain ranges that are far away but visible from town. It is relatively green with slightly reddish sandy soil, and the town follows a northeast-to-southwest grid.

A lone tall ridge with a rugged, striated texture lies SSE of Usakos. A smaller plain-textured mountain with a red tint lies to the east or northeast, and from the northern part of town the cliffy edges of Erongo Mountain are visible to the north.

Along the C43, red-coloured tabletop mountains can be found. The road is wide and unpaved, with light-coloured gravel contrasting with the otherwise red landscape.

In Karibib, the dark silhouette of Erongo Mountain can be seen to the north from almost anywhere in town. Dry hills covered in shrubbery flank the town to the south.

East of Karibib, the weather becomes completely clear and the mountains appear only farther in the distance. This section is marked by wide shoulder lines and an east-northeast road angle.

On the B2 northeast of Swakopmund, sandy soil and a mountain ridge to the east are key terrain clues. A few isolated hills or mountains may be visible to the northwest, though haze closer to Swakopmund can obscure the ridge; the northeast road angle and sandy ground still help confirm the stretch.

A paved road running north-northwest can appear distinct with bright soil, clear skies, cloud cover to the east, and a tabletop mountain ridge.

A long stretch of the B8 can be recognised by its light-coloured, grainy pavement. This stretch also runs at a general east-northeast angle through a vegetated northern landscape.
TerrainSeeheim–Keetmanshoop Ridges
Between Seeheim and Keetmanshoop, the roadside landscape is flat with mountains close by. East of Seeheim, a short ridge lies to the northeast with a lone mountain just west of it and a long ridge far to the west; farther east on the northeast-bound stretch, mountains surround the road, a long uneven tabletop ridge is visible to the west, and a railroad can be seen to the south.
TerrainRed Plateau Stretch
East of Kuibis, the road climbs onto a plateau where the landscape appears mostly flat, though the road has a gradual incline for long stretches. The surrounding soil is very red, with limited shrubbery or other signs of life, and the weather is clear with some clouds in the distance.
TerrainTable-Topped Mountains
East of Aus, the road winds through table-topped mountains, with the railway just to the south. A similar landscape appears briefly farther east, just east of the intersection with the D432, where the mountains are bigger, closer to the road, and redder in colour.
TerrainBright Sandy B4
On the B4 east of Luderitz, the sandy soil can appear almost blindingly bright. The land near the road is generally flat with hills and mountains in the distance, becoming much hillier closer to Luderitz, and a railway closely follows the road on the south side for most of this section.

West of Eenhana, the B10 includes an east–west stretch that is more vegetated. The sun can appear low in the western sky there.

On the B10 east of Nkurenkuru, a northwest-bound stretch can have the sun low in the sky. This part is described as much more vegetated than the C46, and the moon can be visible to the east.

D3615 is a short road with a constant north-northeast angle. It technically has outer yellow lines, but they are quite faded.

Some roads have orange patches on the pavement. A small section by Makolonga also has good pavement with wide shoulders.

The C47 is described as an even wider unpaved road with slightly redder soil than the C44. It is noted as NE-bound with a SW driving direction, and the sky may appear either clear or with wispy clouds.

A similar-looking area exists farther south on the D3301. There, the soil is generally much redder, and the car is driving east.

East of the intersection with the C35, the road keeps a steady southwest-to-northwest angle and has grainy pavement. The area has somewhat sandy soil, soft-looking grass, and cumulus clouds.

The C22 is a paved road that generally runs east. Near the middle, a couple of large rocky hills almost hug the road, and freshly cut orange tufts of grass can appear along it.
OtherOkakarara Time Shift
A short stretch near Okakarara was taken at a different time, making it less distinct. Confirm it by the low ridge to the north-northwest and the sun to the north-northeast.

The paved C19 can be recognised by very red soil and small tufts of golden grass lining the road. The sky is mostly covered in dark clouds, especially to the north.
