The game

What is DailyGeo?

DailyGeo is a free daily geography puzzle game. Every day at midnight, three new puzzles go live: one for Country, one for City, and one for Landmark. Each puzzle shows a real panoramic photo taken from street level somewhere in the world. Your job is to figure out where it was taken.

How it works

Unlimited guesses, honest feedback.

You get unlimited guesses. After each guess, you see two pieces of feedback: how far your guess was from the real location (in kilometers), and a set of similarity indicators — things like whether you matched the right climate band, coastal context, continent, or city size. The indicators narrow you in without spoiling the answer. There's no map to click on — just the photo, the hints, and your knowledge.

Each mode has a par score: Country (par 6), City (par 8), Landmark (par 5). Beating par earns a badge. Missing par is fine — the goal is to keep playing every day. Daily streaks track how many consecutive days you've played each mode.

The photos

Real street-level imagery.

Photos come from Google Street View and Mapillary (a community-driven open street-level imagery platform). Locations span all continents and dozens of countries. Every photo is a pano — you can drag to look around, zoom in, and explore the scene. The image is your only clue.

Free to play.

DailyGeo is free. The three daily puzzles are always free. A paid subscription unlocks access to the archive of past puzzles (replay any day going back to launch) and streak-rescue tokens.
